Parnitha cable car

The cable car is located north of Athens, 26 km from the city center. The cable car building is one of the most interesting buildings that were created in 2000 in Attica. Inside the building there are original works of art. Paintings and sculptures alternate and completely harmonize with the architecture of the building. In the center of attention rises a grand chandelier, 10 meters high. This luxurious chandelier immediately catches the eye, striking the imagination with its majesty, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off. There are many springs and small waterfalls in the park, where you can walk along hundreds of hiking paths, mountain biking and explore dozens of small caves. At an altitude of 1,158 meters, two mountain refuges, Bafi and Flamburi, have been developed. The mountain is the highest mountain in Attica (1100 meters above sea level), its peak, Mt Karavola, reaches 1413 meters. Before the 2007 fire, the park contained about 818 plant species.
