Valanari Waterfall

Valanari Waterfall or Drafi Pendeli as it is located on the border of these areas. It is a small but beautiful waterfall in Athens, which despite the huge destruction of nature, still remains an ideal refuge for various species of fauna. The Valanaris stream is about 16 km long and one of the last wild gorges near Athens. The name Valanaris refers to the oak forest that once towered over the surrounding hills. It is a real oasis, because it is not easy to find such a beautiful place and scenery so close to the city. The waterfall changes depending on the flow of water and when the flow is high, two waterfalls are created. Due to the constant presence of water, the creek attracts a lot of wildlife. A small oasis and an ideal place to walk where you can experience nature in Attica.
