Waterfall Zhenetsky Huk

Zhenetsky Huk waterfall is located on the river Zhenets in Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the Carpathian National Nature Park. The route to the waterfall starts near the farmstead of the Zhenetsky nature conservation research department and goes along the forest road along the river, near the farmstead there are two springs with clean cold water and a gazebo with a view of the village. On the way to the waterfall, you can meet a fox and a Carpathian squirrel. The Zhenetsky Huk Falls (not to be confused with the Hoverlian Huk Falls, located on the Prut River) is 900 meters above sea level and was formed in the middle of the 20th century as a result of a flood caused by a rock fall. The height of the waterfall is 15 meters, the water falls down the mountain in a powerful stream. Locals named the waterfall Huk because of the noise and rumble it makes. Due to the constant moistening and splashing of the waterfall, the vegetation here is lush and diverse.
