Saliara is one of the best and most impressive beaches on the island of Thassos. The beach is located in the northeastern part of the island, about five kilometers from Limen, in a narrow, green and flowery bay. It is also called Marmara (Marble) beach, as there is a marble mining industry in the area. The beach is covered with white semicircular small pebbles that shine in the sunlight in the water. Many people also call this beach exotic, simply because of the color of the water in the sea. Saliara beach is fully organized, but with limited free space as it is a small beach. You can reach the beach by boat or by car, from Makriammo you have to drive about 20 minutes on a dirt road, which is not very convenient. When you see the beautiful view of this place, you will forget about all the inconveniences of the trip to the beach and say with a smile that this beach is worth it.
