Nemuth Falls

Foloi, Peloponnese, Greece

Nemuth Falls

The impressive waterfalls are located near the Eriantos River, near the village of Nemuta and about 42 km from Pirgo Ilias. The waters originate at Mount Erimanfos and on their way they create landscapes of exceptional beauty and form impressive waterfalls known as Nemuta Waterfalls. There are 2 routes to get there, one of which is the long one with the number M3 and starts from the Museum in the village of Foloi and leads to the gorge where the landscape becomes almost tropical, with lush vegetation and wildlife. Passing a stone bridge the road will take you to Haratsari Gorge with its 13 waterfalls and Aipulas Gorge with its 16 waterfalls. The second easy route, where you can reach even by car on a dirt road, traveling about 3 km, which starts from the village of Nemouti and leads to the village of Elea on a metal bridge over the river Erimanthus, next to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the area. A few meters before the bridge, a path starts along a small river bank, which in a few minutes leads to a gorge with fabulous scenery. There are no signposts to the path, so once you see the wooden bridge, the path starts at this point.
