Skra Waterfalls

The Skra waterfalls and the beautiful emerald lake are a fairytale place hidden in a dense forest, which is crossed by the Kotsa Dere stream. The small Skra Lake or Blue Lake owes its color to the fossilized organisms at its bottom. The waterfalls are located between the villages of Skra and Koupa, in the region of Kilkis, about 100 km from the northern Greek capital of Thessaloniki. Near a small mountain village, on the slopes of the beautiful Paiko mountain. Five kilometers from the village, there is an asphalted path that will lead you to a paradise place with beautiful waterfalls and a blue lake. This is the most magical corner of nature, where you will see several large and small waterfalls among oaks and plane trees. This place can be visited at any time of the year. The environment is perfect for picnics, hiking, relaxing and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the lake.
