Laganas is the most popular resort of the island and is located 8 km from the capital of Zakynthos. The village stretches along a natural bay and has an excellent infrastructure. The local beach is protected by Greek and international legislation, and the home of the endangered turtle species Caretta Caretta is part of the Greek National Park. And if you decide to swim on your own, you can find turtle eggs on the bottom, in appearance they resemble table tennis balls.
