Antisamos Beach

Antisamos is one of the organized beaches of Kefalonia with umbrellas, sun loungers, cafés and various water sports activities. It is one of the most popular beaches on the island. The beach is large both in length and width, the sea seems green in the embrace of green hills, which are covered with oaks and cypresses. Opposite the beach, you can see the green part of the island of Ithaca, as the two islands are very close. Luxury yachts anchor in this bay to enjoy the crystal clear sea and the beautiful nature. Antisamos was the filming location for some of the most important and impressive scenes of the Hollywood movie "Captain Corelli's Choice", which was shot on the island of Kefalonia in the summer of 2000. Then the whole area of Sami went back in time, where the action of the movie took place, in 1943.
