The beach of Terma or Empros Termes is located in the southeastern part of the island, about 13 km from Kos town. The landscape of wild, pristine beauty with steep slopes, cliffs and bleak pebbly shores was formed by tectonic processes and ancient volcanic eruptions that took place millions of years ago. The area was named after the thermal springs that have existed here for centuries. The waters of these springs are saturated with calcium, potassium, sodium, sulfur and magnesium, elements that are considered effective in the treatment of skin diseases, arthritis and rheumatism, as well as beneficial for the skin. The water temperature varies between 30-50 degrees Celsius. In front of the beach was created a small lake that is separated from the rest of the beach by large stones. This place can be visited at any time of the year. The beach is sandy and pebbly and organized with umbrellas, deck chairs and a beach bar.
