Avythos beach

Avitos is one of the most impressive beaches on the island, having received the most number of blue flag awards. The beach can be reached via a route with lush gardens and olive groves. The beach is characterized by beautiful golden sand, clear blue water and a view of the small island of Zeus. The beach area is divided into two parts by an imposing cliff and scattered rocks protrude from the sea, creating a beautiful openwork landscape. This rock formation is located on the right extension of the beach, which is why it is also called Megali Petra. It is ideal for children as its bottom is evenly deepened. The beach is fully organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, lifeguards, tavernas and snack bar. Be careful, Loggerhead turtles lay eggs on the beach and these areas are fenced off.
