Kefalogournas Waterfall is located on the marvelous island of Thassos, in an amazing natural landscape and near the village of Theologos. The waterfall is located on the outskirts of the village, with a path leading to it on the northeast side. Here the waters from the vast area of the island are collected and together with the waters from the spring of Agia Vasiliki form two waterfalls that create a small pond at the foot of the mountain. There are other ponds nearby where you can swim and cool off. The vegetation around the waterfalls is dense and sunlight hardly penetrates through the dense foliage. Water flow exists all year round, unless there has been a prolonged period of severe drought. In the past, water was used in the area to grind wheat in water mills, as evidenced by the ruins of mills in the vicinity.
