The island of Agios Sostis or Kameo is a tiny island located in the bay of Laganas on the island of Zakynthos. Agios Sostis Island used to be a part of Zakynthos Island, but after the earthquake in 1633 it separated and became a separate territory, which today is connected to the land only by a long wooden bridge. The island of Agios Sostis is very attractive and interesting due to its beautiful bay and unusual rock formation, which is overgrown with pine trees. The island is small but mesmerizing and has a fairytale atmosphere. The island was named after the church of St. Sostis, which was located here until the end of the XVI century. Nowadays, the island is a cafe-bar with a nightclub, and during the day there is a stylish beach where lovers of unforgettable experiences sometimes hold weddings and other events.
The island is private and therefore entrance is charged.
